Subject: credit score, distribution, AP (Associated Press), false information

I'm with the media, am on a deadline (it is tomorrow), and I am writing about you.

You said, "On the other hand, we've gone from about 15 percent of people that have a poor credit rating, to over 25 percent of people that have a poor credit rating now, as defined by the system that we've all seemed to have bought into." (2012-02-21) #Myth3

You will not be able to prove that your statement is true. It is just a big misunderstanding caused by the Associated Press (AP), Credit Score Myth 3.

Who did you get that information from? #1202C

See "Two and Two: Credit scores fall, AP," which I wrote. Please don't hesitate to ask me questions.

I'm very sorry that this happened, Senator Heath. It's horrible, and there is enough blame to go around–not just in your beautiful state. Please, let's try to set the record straight. It will not happen in my lifetime, but we have to try. We must.

I am exhausted. Will you help me?
