On Wednesday, you wrote, "A potential employer may also want to review your credit score." #1604L

Did you use the public's airwaves to make that claim? #n25444

Employers do not use credit scores. I looked into it. Boston has not come very far. Neither has CBS. #n25456

In 2010, "[CBS News business and economics correspondent Rebecca] Jarvis expalined[SIC], "(Your credit score) is what almost every company in your life uses to determine whether you are a credible, trustworthy borrowing candidate. From your prospective employers to your prospective landlords, most companies will check your credit score in order to gauge their risk. No one likes a deadbeat!"

That is Credit Score Myth 2 #myth2 (that employers use credit scores). You can, actually, watch it coming out of her mouth: See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXfBWwR6FPg&feature=youtu.be&t=3m28s.

Last year, Kathy Kristof wrote, "Bad credit scores kept more than one-quarter of U.S. adults from doing something they wanted in the past year, according to the survey. Some 15 percent said they were unable to get a personal loan or a credit card, 10 percent were unable to obtain a mortgage, 8 percent were unable to rent an apartment and 5 percent said a bad credit score kept them from landing a job."

We can only wonder what the survey question was. Perhaps Mr. Almonte will tell us.
