State of Washington false information - The Game begins
The USA to and fro. And back and forth with the Washington state Department of Financial Institutions (DFI). ''Director of Communications'' contradicts herself. #CommsGirl
| By Greg Fisher
Vantagescore is one of those unfortunate (made-up) components of our language mashing two words together to create a compound, unique new one.
[And no, Mr. Tavares, there will be no capital letter in the middle of a word in these proceedings except to make fun of those who do so. If I have to do that, then you must forever call me His Majesty fIsHeR. - The editor.]
And so, here we are—at the beginning, the upper left-hand corner: The once-great state of Washington. With the help it brings, the truth train arrived in Olympia at just before 8 AM local. #T8 #whistlestop #WA #capitol #OLW
Angst.
FROM: Greg Fisher, greg@truthandfalsity.com TO: Public email address of Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) Director of Communications Lyn Peters CC: Public email address of Washington Governor Bob Ferguson Communications Director Brionna Aho DATE: January 20, 2025, 10:56 AM EST SUBJECT: falsityPlease stop publishing false information.
Your government published the false statement, in the internet domain wa.gov, "The two major credit scores used are FICO and Vantage." https://dfi.wa.gov/financial-education/information/credit-reports
There is no such thing as Vantage. That, false information, is the premise for a game I am developing. The game's first round is an introduction and pointing out the breadth of falsity. It is documented at creditscoring.com/game and moves from left to right. So, Congratulations! At the upper left of the conterminous US, you are the first to be contacted about the Game.

Mr. Fisher,
Vantage Score is a reality Home - VantageScore
Vantage Score is used by many lenders, including Capital One CreditWise | Free Credit Score, Credit Report & Monitoring
Sincerely,
Lyn Peters WA Dept. of Financial Institutions Director of Communications
While we provide financial education and information, as a regulatory agency, DFI cannot provide financial advice or recommend any financial services.
FROM: Greg Fisher TO: Peters, Lyn M (DFI) CC: Brionna Aho DATE: January 21, 2025, 4:23 PM EST SUBJECT: falsityIf Vantage Score is real then I'm the king of England.
Vantagescore is not Vantage Score just as I am not Mayor of Louisville; my name is Fisher, not Fischer. Neither of your phrases' links support your information and the first line even contradicts itself. Elsewhere, you call it "VantageScore." https://dfi.wa.gov/sites/default/files/publications/guide-home-loans_0.pdf#page=5
The same document states, "Experts recommend using at most 30% of available credit." https://x.com/creditscoring/status/1880047333372821781
What are the names of two such experts?
In contempt, the director of communications changes the subject line. #n542

Mr. Fisher,
- What Affects Your Credit Scores? – Experian - Experian – “utilization rates of roughly 30% or greater will more negatively impact credit scores.”
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau – “You want to keep your credit utilization under 30 percent.”
Many things impact a person’s credit score (How are FICO Scores Calculated? | myFICO and How Credit Scores Work - VantageScore), credit utilization is one. The 30% recommendation is just that, a recommendation.
Sincerely, [...]
Oh, Buh-rother. This 30% advice thing is a joke. I let Princess Director of Communications have her damned subject line.

The State of Washington's website states, "Experts recommend using at most 30% of available credit."
Who are those experts? #2Experts #Myth4 #WA #WApols https://t.co/jjdfHsjG85 pic.twitter.com/hOpLiRiAtD
Item 2406X (2024, June, Xth item) is another instance of Credit Score Myth 4. The state of Washington tells its citizens (and the rest of the world), "Experts recommend using at most 30% of available credit." #WA #Myth4
No expert ever recommended that. And if a man did, then he is not an expert.
And, what is his name?
